If Ghosts fascinate you, or you like to go on these ghost hunts around the world, this is one place you should add to your list: The Queen Mary Ship based in Long Beach, California, USA.The History:
The ship did her maiden voyage on May 27th 1936. Then it was used for a war service from March 1940 - September 1946, that carried 765,429 military personnel. She then resumed a passenger service from July 31, 1947, until a retirement on September 19, 1967.
The ship was purchased by Long Beach City back in December 1967, and is now a hotel and museum.
Here are some of the haunting's on the ship:
The Engine Room:
This is said to be the most haunted part of the ship. It is haunted by a 17 year old sailor who was crushed to death trying to escape a fire. Knocking and banging noises have been heard by many people.
Where the front desk area of the hotel is now:
A lady in white roams here.
Pool area
Child ghosts lurk here. One is the spirit of a young girl who broke her neck in the pool. She has been seen and heard asking for her mother and where her doll is.
Pool changing rooms area
It is believed that the screams heard here are of a sailor who was killed when the Queen Mary collided with a smaller ship.
As well as the screams other activities such as furniture moving by itself, unknown spirits appearing and the sense of someone hands touching them have all been reported.

I think it's amazing how a ship with such history has been restored so well, in keeping with the original furnishings and decorations. Have a look at the video below for a tour of the ship. The bedrooms are my favourite as they look rather eerie, but overall it is really interesting for ghost and history fanatic's.

I knew a little about the Queen Mary, that it is now a hotel and museum, but I didn't know about the hauntings. This is very cool and now I can't wait to visit it!!
My sister and her husband had their wedding on the Queen Mary. It was so cool.
I've been on the ship- over 20 years go that was. It's a big ship- didn't hear any ghosts roaming about though.
Interesting article. I guess the story about the ghosts makes the ship even more popular (for those who want a scary holiday).
What a grand ship! Would love to visit it. I don't think the ghosts will wake me up.
