WORLD'S SMALLEST COUNTRY: Vatican City

Country Overview

At just 0.2 square miles and a population of 770, Vatican City is officially the smallest country in the world.

It is that small that none of the streets have names, there is no capital and none of the residents are permanent.

Vatican City is surrounded by Rome and Italy, and is also known as the Holy See, and is the spiritual centre of the Roman Catholic community of the world.

Map of the country

It's amazing how small this country is, as some cities and towns are as big as this if not bigger.

I can imagine that the residents have to travel out the country regularly to do their shopping and do social events etc.

I'm not sure if i could live here personally. Could you?

Impressive!! We recently had a LDS (Convert) Missionary who served in TX from this area. Before he was on the fast track at the Vatican. I guess this explains why I could never figure out that country the Vatican was in:) Drrr, its OWN country:)
